Come for coffee or tea and be tempted by some enjoyable calories at this event organised by Stithians WI. Whilst there why not make a written bid on items in the auction from 10.00 am. Stithians Lunch Club next meets for delicious home-cooked food on Tuesday 1st October. Come along then for a super lunch and scrummy pudding. Free Raffle. Good company and banter. AGM of The Stithians Centre Management Committee. All residents of Stithians Parish are warmly invited to attend. Those over 18  are eligible to vote for 4 members of the committee, and eligible to stand for one of these elected committee positions. Sunday 10 November, 10.00 am

Stithians Parade and Service of Remembrance will take place on Sunday 10 November.
10.00am, parade assembles at Doctor’s Surgery; 10.10am, parade departs to St Stythians Church; 10.30am, Service of Remembrance in St Stythians Church. All welcome to join the parade and/or attend the Service. Refreshments will be served in The Stithians Centre after the Service.

ACT OF REMEMBRANCE. There will be a short Service of Remembrance and laying of wreaths at the Stithians War Memorial at 10.45 am on Monday 11 November.

Saturday 7 December, 10.30 am or 1.30 pm


If you fancy creating your own Christmas wreath this year then this is the workshop for you! Made from foraged and dried foliage, flowers and materials it can be hung either outside or inside the house. All materials provided, but if you would like to add a special piece of ribbon then you can bring it along.

Choice of morning or afternoon workshops: 
10:30 - 12:30 am  or 1:30- 3:30 pm. 

Cost £25, includes festive refreshments.

Stithians Christmas Market is the place to start your Christmas shopping with original gifts and decorations as well as wonderful, fresh local produce. Lots of extra stalls, along with your regular favourites, and extended opening hours from 9.30 to 2.30 pm. Take your chance to win a Christmas Hamper and the Grand Raffle. Take a break from shopping in the Market Cafe and enjoy fresh coffee, bacon rolls, mince pies, and lunchtime soup.

Start the Christmas season at Stithians Scout Group and Male Voice Choir Christmas Concert, listening to and joining in with familiar carols. Entry by donation. Doors open at 6.00. All profits to Children’s Hospice South-West.

Also collecting good, second-hand tools for Hidden Help, to distribute to those setting up home again having lost everything: screwdrivers (flat) 2-6 mm, (Philips) 2.5 – 6 mm, allen keys, pliers, adjustable spanners, 3m tape measures and hammers (less than 30 cm). These will be cleaned and packaged into tool rolls and given out by Cornwall Neighbourhoods for Change. You can bring any tools you wish to donate to the Concert, or give them to any of the Scout Group leaders.

Enjoy an evening of festive music and carols with St Stythians Band and St Stythians Male Voice Choir. Join in the singing or just sit and enjoy the concert. All welcome to this popular annual event. Doors open from 7.00 pm. Free entry, retiring collection. All proceeds to The Stithians Centre fund for improvements to storage facilities and toilets.

Second half of Autumn Term starts on Friday 1 November, and will finish on Friday 13 December. All little ones from birth to 3+ and their carers very welcome to in the home corner, or build with megablocks and duplo, race cars on tracks, ride on toys. Get messy and creative in the craft corner, or sit quietly with books and puzzles, and also enjoy a healthy snack together.  There is a safe play area for the really tiny ones. Fees - £2.00 per child, 50p per sibling.

Thursdays 7.15 pm,

Bowow DTC offer a variety of classes to entertain both you and your dog. If you have some experience of dog training with attentive heelwork and would like a different challenge, why not give Rally a try? Lessons held in  Tregonning Hall on Thursday evenings. The aim of Rally is to complete a course, carrying out various exercises along the way. Would your dog stay down while you walked around it, can your dog go down from a distance? Friday Coffee Stop

The Friday morning Coffee Stop continues to flourish and welcomes new people. In return for a cup of coffee or tea and a slice of delicious cake, they just ask for a donation and all donations are given to various organisations.


Last year £2000 has been donated to various, mainly local, organisations including Cubs, Guides, Beavers, Brownies, Scouts, Stithians Village Choir, Evergreens, Merlin Centre, The Cove, McMillan Nurses and Children in Need. If you know of any organisations that would benefit from a donation, please contact Margaret Ramsey on 01209 861361.

Your Parish Council meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 7.00pm in the Hendra Room at The Stithians Centre. Everyone is welcome to attend and there is a public participation section at approximately 7.15pm when you can raise any matter you wish with your councillors.
