WHAT IS HAPPENING? NEWSLETTER UPDATE.
As we all come to terms with this ever changing world of Covid restrictions it is increasing important that the Stithians Centre steps up it's communication efforts with the community. Our monthly newsletter has thus been expanded and improved to include lots of community information, not just what is happening in the centre.
Do you have any news or ideas which you would like to share with the community? If so please feel free to submit them to the Newsletter Editor Judith Twigger on email@example.com

Ben Salfield in Concert
Saturday 16 October, 8.00 pm
Doors and Bar 7.15 pm
An evening with internationally renowned lutenist Ben Salfield
Hailed in the international media as “one of the world's greatest solo performers of renaissance lute music”, English lutenist Ben Salfield performs in concert at The Stithians Centre on Saturday 16 October.
Known for his on-the-edge, charismatic style of performance, Ben Salfield has performed to some of the largest audiences ever recorded for lute music, and given concerts at scores of music festivals, both nationally and internationally.
Apart from solo concerts, Salfield has appeared with many ensembles, from duos to string quartets. He is a founder member of the latin | jazz | rock group "Horsemen of the Apocalypse", which features his brother Jon on Flamenco guitar, plus Rowan Nightingale on bass and Simon Stanton on percussion.
Salfield has appeared many times on TV and radio in the UK and Europe. Featured in numerous international newspapers and magazines, he is thought to have had more column inches written about him than any other current lutenist. Also known as an editor, composer, lecturer and teacher, he has appeared on juries for many major music competitions, given numerous masterclasses across Europe, and taught in international summer schools in Italy and Poland. He also runs a thriving private teaching practice in Cornwall.
Ben has founded and directed dozens of concert series and festivals since 1992 and is currently Director of the new Hellys International Guitar Festival, based in Helston.
