2026 has been a landmark year for The Stithians Centre (TSC), where, thanks to a successful application to the National Lottery Community Fund, we have been able to make significant improvements to the facilities of our beloved community building. 

We have been able to to buy 100 banquetting chairs replacing our aged stock with much more comfortable and robust chairs which have been very welcomed by our user groups, especially welcomed by the Lunch Club, Coffee Stop, Film Club & the WI to mention but a few.

We have also been able to upgrade the cooking facilities with a new 3 phase range cooker and a complimentary under counter grill and oven. Again this improvement has been very welcomed by our kitchen user groups. We intend to install a cooker hood but this is currently delayed by a few complications with the fire alarm cabling which we are working hard to resolve.

Finally we have purchased 6 new adult sized folding tables and 5 new folding children's tables. The tables will be a great asset to TSC especially for use in the monthly Craft & Produce Market which has gone from strength to strength in 2026 with 32 traders booked in for the October Market.

All the above improvements would have taken years and years to complete without the help of the National Lottery Community Fund Grant which all the Trustees & users of the TSC will be very grateful when we see the Lottery sign over the main entrance door.
